kiss me hard before you go

Having a day off from work- that's what I was waiting for! I could have a drink yesterday, go to bed late, sleep until 11 p.m., have a late breakfast (or let's call it lunch acutally) and wear my causal clothes.God, how I hate my uniform with that sky-blue shirt. I mean, wearing it with jeans is okay, but wearing it with my HolidayInnExpress-make-your-butt-looks-fatter-than-it-is pants... Hate it!So, today I've been wondering about music tastes.
If your answer to ''what kind of music do you like?'' is ''I like everything'', please, don't talk to me.
You can listen to everything, but you can't acutally like everything.
I mean, at work in the kitchen I have a stereo. I don't want to be selfish so I don't bring my Cd's, we put on a radio. Well I would listen to 3fm, but the signal is to weak.. so I choose Veronica. 
Very often they play some rock music, but let's admit it- pop/techno/Dutch music is also very common out there. And you know, I can listen to it, but I don't enjoy it as much as listening for example to Pink Floyd. But okay, it's work, we run around so hearing Calvin Harris is maybe even better in a way than very moving ''Comfortably Numb''. There is a kind of music that pushes you to doing something and one that pushes you to thinking. So sure, I could get lost in my perception playing Florence+The Machine album, but fooling around with Don (my colleague) to ''Call Me Maybe'' (such a f*cking ridiculous and annoying song! which I wouldn't have know if not the radio) while cutting cucumbers is so much better! ;)

Let's admit, you can listen to a lot of stuff, but you gotta have something favourite to what you're devoted!
There are such bands/artists/performers that move you with their music. For me it's (already mentioned) Pink Floyd, Muse, Depeche Mode, Florence+The Machine, Massive Attack but also Buena Vista Social Club, Kayah&Bregovic. There is music which brings me fun like Beastie Boys, Mark Ronson, Lily Allen, Groove Armada, LCD Soundsystem, Kate Nash. There is all that rock/funk/alternatives like Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, Muse, Oasis, Travis, Joy Division, Blur, Garbage, The White Stripes, Hurts, beautiful sad/sensual songs by Chris Isaak, some rough things like Metallica, Godsmack, Marilyn Manson, Limp Bizkit, P.O.D., System of a Down, Deftones, Rage Against the Machine, Queens of the Stone Age. Some classics like Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Queen. And finally there is hiphop/rap/pop stuff to which- depends on a mood- I also refer to, such as N.E.R.D., Snoop Dogg, Delinquent Habits, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, J.Lo, .. Oh yes, then there are all the ladies: Adele, Duffy, Lana Del Rey, Florence, Kate Nash, Carla Bruni, Aaliyah, Madonna, Katy B, Amy Winehouse, Anouk, Lykke Li, Pj Harvey..
And many many many more!
 
That's a mash-up! So before you tell me ''I like everything what's on the radio'' then first of all: which radio station? And if that's true- do you really enjoy listening to Bruno Mars? Come on!
I am tolerant and I am patient, but don't do that to me, not Bruno Mars.
If he would catch a grenade for ya, let him do that! 

So. That's pretty much all. I know you don't comment my posts people, but if you would, tell me: which song that you've heard today gave you chills?

P.S. In Poland I know people with very strange music tastes who listen polish disco with pure pleasure, and believe me, it always says something abouth their mental health.

    You can't even imagine how many songs made me sick today...
    by the way, you have to know that lots italians have worse musical taste that lovers of polish disco :/
    but in the sea of shit it's possible to find something that make you feel good..

    My proposition is : Arisa - "La notte" Me Gusta!

    Try to listen and survive to the end and tell me that you can find any feelings about it without understanding the lyrics.

    For me works, so far every time :))))

Once upon a time..

There was this girl who decided she is completely done with working only to bring money home, while she literally couldn't stand her working environment anymore. She quit her job and began the search for a new one. It took her a lot of nerves to find anything. Sure, she had some offers men said she can't refuse. But she did refuse them because she is not just a pretty face to 'keep her image' to convince others she's good. Love- hate relationship, pt. I

From time to time, when meeting new people I am being repeatedly asked the same two questions. Question #1: ' Do you miss Poland ?' Question #2: ' So, do you like it here?' My natural reaction to both of the above stated questions is rolling my eyes, smiling politely and nodding: I never want to get into the details of probable answers because if I would, it wouldn't be a small talk anymore. I don't do small talk and if I do I am very awkward at it. I avoid it at all possible costs yet still, sometimes it finds me and bites me in the ass.
